Everything you Need to Know about Writing a Novel – a five day, online novel-writing course: 3rd – 7th January 2022

If lockdown has given you the opportunity to think more about the novel you have always been meaning to write, then this course will help you navigate the next stage, whether it’s to strengthen and shape your ideas, edit your first draft, or prepare a submission package. The course features a series of workshops aimed at helping writers at all stages of the processes, and you can pick and choose which are the most relevant to you.

The five-day course is led by Ali Harper and Anna Chilvers (with eight published novels between them), and is intended to bring focus to your writing. It offers a full programme of workshops, guided writing exercises and focus groups via Zoom. You will get to take part in discussions with other writers, and you will have an opportunity for a one-to-one with one of the tutors. We will also be joined by a guest author who will share their tips on all aspects of novel-writing. Whether you’re a plotter/planner or a seat-of-the pants kind of writer, the workshops are designed to help you structure and define your novel, so that you give it the very best chance of success.

The cost is £150 all inclusive. (If you would like to attend and the cost is prohibitive, please contact us as we may be able to offer some reductions to those in need).

JULY 2022

The next physical creative writing retreat will be held in July 2022 – fingers crossed. It’s called  The Art of Writing, Wentworth Castle, Stainsborough and will be tutored by Anna Chilvers and Ali Harper, both published writers and inspirational creative writing tutors.
